Frequently Asked Questions
What do you mean by NATURAL NAILS?
We do not add extensions to the natural nail. We only use products that can be gently soaked off. No electronic files are used in our salon. We do not do Acrylic, Gel X, Hard Gel or SNS. Clean air is a high priority to us for our health.
No Plastic Dust Allowed.
What Products Do You Use?
All our polishes are “7 Free” at a minimum, formulated without toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, phthalates (DBP), formaldehyde resin, xylene, or methyl ethyl ketone (MEK).
Toluene: An organic solvent with the ability to dissolve paint, rubber, ink, adhesive and lacquers, among other products. It is frequently employed as an octane booster for internal combustion systems.
Camphor: Another chemical used in the embalming process, it also has applications as a plasticizer for nitrocellulose and in fireworks. It is highly flammable and toxic even in small doses.
Formaldehyde: Commonly used in nail hardeners and nail polish despite being classified as a known carcinogen by the U.S. National Toxicology Program. It is also used as a tissue fixative and an embalming agent.
Dibutyl phthalate (DBT): A plasticizer and common additive to adhesives. It is suspected that DBT may disrupt the endocrine system and has been restricted from use in cosmetics by the European Union.
Formaldehyde resin: A synthetic polymer used in circuit boards and molded products such as pool balls and coatings and adhesives.
Xylene: a colorless, flammable liquid with a sweet odor. Exposure to xylene can irritate the eyes, nose, skin, and throat.
Methyl ethyl ketone: an organic solvent commonly used in adhesives and paints. Overexposure to methyl ethyl ketone can irritate the central nervous system, eyes, and respiratory system. When in direct contact with skin, methyl ethyl ketone can lead to dryness and cracking of the skin.
What do you mean by BESPOKE CREAMS?
Most all of our skincare products are lovingly made by hand using all natural ingredients in small batches inhouse by the owner. Our oils are crafted to help moisturize the skin, while our exfoliating salt & sugar scrubs combine the right ingredients to help gently buff away dead skin cells for a smoother appearance. Enjoy the calming aroma of our herbal bath salts that also help to cleans and relax your body. And lastly, nourish your skin with our body butters packed full of natural ingredients that leave your skin feeling silky soft and smooth.
What do you mean by SUSTAINABLE SALON?
A sustainable salon is a salon that promotes eco-friendly choices every step of the way. It starts with, but is not limited to, improving waste management, reducing water and energy usage, and lowering the salon’s overall carbon footprint. The beauty industry alone sends 877 pounds of waste to landfills every minute. We have partnered with Green Circle to repurpose these materials and through this partnership we are able to recycle up to 95% of waste within our salon. Since 2009, Green Circle has managed to keep 7,027,160 lbs. of beauty waste out of landfills and waterways—and that number continues to grow. An environmental stewardship fee is applied to each service to support our program.

LATE ARRIVAL POLICY?
Give us a call! We will always try our best to accommodate you if you are running late. However, if you are 15 minutes or more late, your appointment may be forfeited so the client after you does not lose their time slot.

We recommend you bring your own pair of flip flops as these are the only way to guarantee your polish will not smudge. Polish can take several hours, even up to 24 hours, to cure.
